This issue looks at the challenge of designing funerary architecture in “Landscapes for Death and Living”, with recent projects such as Chia Ching Mausoleum by Álvaro Siza and Carlos Castanheira, Hill of the Buddha by Tadao Ando, Inagawa Cemetery Chapel and Visitor Centre by David Chipperfield, and Crematorium Siesegem by KAAN Architecten. A second theme examines architecture’s role in community belonging, with buildings by Smiljan Radic, C.F. Møller Architects, Challenge Design, and others. Finally, Renault, Céline, Franz Kraler, UR Shanghai, and Pitaro are representative of a fusion of luxury and technology in their new showrooms and flagship stores.
